(back pressure regulator or pressure sustaining valve)
This product is used a lot in fuel oil/heavy oil pumping system
Especially to maintain the pump motor’s life time longer

This product is used to maintain a constant pressure in the fuel oil pipeline
If the pressure of the fuel oil in the pipeline increases due to the lower demand of fuel oil
This primary pressure reducing valve will open a bit to relieve the fuel oil back to the storage tank
So the fuel oil  pressure in the pipeline is always controlled constant
