Air Filter Regulator

Air leaving a compressor is hot, dirty, and wet—which can damage and shorten the life of downstream equipment, such as control valves & valves with pneumatic actuator

Before air can be used it needs to be filtered, regulated and lubricated.

An air line filter clean the compressed air by filtering the solid particle & water/oil inside it
It strains the air and traps solid particles (dust, dirt, rust) and separates liquids (water, oil) entrained in the compressed air.

An air regulator regulate the air pressure coming into the pneumatic actuator of a control valve
Because some control valve’s pneumatic actuator can stand only a limited pressure

Quick exhaust valve

Quick exhaust valves increase the speed of closing/opening cycle of a single-acting or a double-acting pneumatic actuator.
– When the control valve is given an output to open (shut down valve) or close (blow down valve)
The compressed air will be passing through the quick exhaust valve and the compressed air will be coming into the pneumatic actuator
The control valve will be open or closed
– When the control valve is given an output to close or open  (shut down valve) or to close (blow down valve)
The compressed air inside the pneumatic actuator will be relieve out of the pneumatic actuator (exhaust)
The exhaust compressed air will be relieved out at the quick exhaust valve to the atmosphere
(quick exhaust valve has a very big orifice hole)
Then the control valve will be closing (shut down valve) or opening (blow down valve) very quick

Silencer

Silencer is installed at the exhaust port of the solenoid valve that control a pneumatic actuator
The function of the silencer is to absorb the compressed air movement when the solenoifd valve in exhaust position
(to comply to the noise compliance at the work place)

Combination speed controller and silencer

Speed controller is installed at the exhaust port of the solenoid valve that control a pneumatic actuator
We can regulate the speed controller orifice opening
So the can slow down the opening/closing speed of the pneumatic actuator
By controlling the amount of the compressed air that is exhausted out of the pneumatic actuator
The speed controller is combined with a silencer

Namur speed controller plate

This is used in combination with a NAMUR solenoid valve and serves to provide independent speed control of both the opening and closing strokes.
The speed control plate can be used with both single and double acting actuators, but when used on single acting actuators, only the spring return stroke is regulated.
