Armstrong steam trap BIMETALLIC with universal connector Model AB-3500
(32 barg @ 260 deg C)
Armstrong’s AB-3500 Bimetallic Steam Trap operates by the effect that rising temperature has on bimetallic elements.
It adjusts itself to changing conditions, as the increasing pressure on the valve is compensated by the curving of the
bimetallic elements caused by the increasing temperature.
Armstrong’s AB-3500 has a removable cap, stainless steel body that is lightweight, compact and highly resistant to corrosion.
The AB-3500 is repairable (body and cap can be unscrewed). It is piped through theArmstrong 360° Universal Connector
or Trap Valve Station (TVS).
This makes it easy to install and replace, as the trap can be removed while the connector remains in-line.
The result is savings in labor cost and an increase in flexibility
Model SH-2500
For superheat steam (650 psi operating pressure)
With a 2-bolts type of 360° universal connector, you can install the bimetallic trap efficiently and long service life in any piping configuration with little or no repiping.
With the benefit of all-stainless steel construction:
• A sealed, tamperproof package
• A compact, lightweight trap
• Exceptional corrosion resistance
SH2500 Series steam traps combine savings in three important areas: energy, installation and replacement.
The 360° universal connector provides quick, easy in-line replacement
Also available with optional IS-2 integral strainer connector.
Bimetal steam trap for superheat steam with 4-bolts universal connector Model SH-4500
For superheat steam (1245 psi operating pressure) With a 4-bolts type of 360° universal connector (for very high pressure application), you can install the bimetallic trap efficiently and long service life in any piping configuration with little or no repiping.
With the benefit of all-stainless steel construction: • A sealed, tamperproof package • A compact, lightweight trap • Exceptional corrosion resistance
SH4000 Series steam traps combine savings in three important areas: energy, installation and replacement. The 360° universal connector provides quick, easy in-line replacement Also available with optional IS-2 integral strainer connector.
SUMMARY:
To get rid of:
- Condensate (water) out of a steam heating equipment that can create water hammering
- Air or gasses that can become an insulator in a steam heating equipment
Especially CO2 gas that can react with subcooled (COLD) condensate to become carbonic acid that is corrosive
We need to install a steam trap to drain the condensate & air/gasses continuously from a steam heating equipment
